The Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance (KEEA) & the Energy Efficiency Alliance of New Jersey (EEA-NJ) have historically recognized outstanding leadership in our industry, both among our members and other change-makers. The 2026 Energy Efficiency Champion Awards program recognizes and thanks these organizations and individuals. For 2026, two Outstanding Public Servant Awards will be presented: New Jersey Champion and Pennsylvania Champion. In addition, one Outstanding Individual Award will be presented. The deadline to submit nominations for these awards is 5pm on Friday, July 3rd.

Outstanding Public Servant Awards
Purpose
The Outstanding Public Servant Awards recognize outstanding work or innovation in advancing energy efficiency policy or impact while supporting the mission, vision and values of KEEA and EEA-NJ.
- Mission: To champion efficiency as the foundation of a clean, just, and resilient energy economy.
- Vision: Energy efficiency anchors all efforts to meet our ongoing energy needs, improve health and comfort, promote energy equity, and protect our climate.
- Values: We support energy efficiency that grows strong local economies, helps create resilient communities and healthy buildings, addresses pressing environmental issues, and advances an equitable, just, and sustainable future.
Criteria
- PA - Anyone working in a PT/FT paid government/public sector job in Pennsylvania, from elected officials and staff to regulators and staff of agencies and departments.
- NJ - Anyone working in a PT/FT paid government/public sector job in New Jersey, from elected officials and staff to regulators and staff of agencies and departments.
Outstanding Individual Award
Purpose
This award recognizes a personal accomplishment that has advanced the energy efficiency industry in PA or NJ while supporting the mission, vision and values of KEEA and EEA-NJ.
Criteria
- Any individual making a major contribution to energy efficiency is eligible. They may work in the public, private, or non-profit sector, or they may be a private citizen or volunteer.
- This individual's work should impact New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania in some way but may expand beyond those borders.
