2026 Energy Efficiency Day Celebration

Please join the Energy Efficiency Alliance (EEA) on October 8th at 2pm for a celebration commemorating Energy Efficiency Day 2026. EEA, in partnership with Lucas Greenhouses and South Jersey Gas, will be hosting a tour of the Lucas Greenhouses campus to highlight the comprehensive energy efficiency upgrades completed by South Jersey Gas through their robust energy efficiency programming.

Through the South Jersey Gas Energy Efficiency Program, Lucas Greenhouses upgraded its boiler system to high-efficiency equipment, resulting in projected annual savings of approximately 26,000 therms. The boiler project complements a broader series of sustainability investments undertaken by Lucas Greenhouses, including horticultural LED lighting, improved ventilation systems, water conservation initiatives, solar power, and on-site EVs. With a greenhouse thermal curtain project and additional boiler retrofit planned through the South Jersey Gas program, Lucas Greenhouses continues to build on its long-term commitment to energy efficiency and operational resiliency.

Programming will include brief comments from EEA, South Jersey Gas, and ICF followed by a guided tour of Lucas Greenhouses campus. Following the tour, there will be a happy hour reception.
